Important Tips for Your Journey:
Plan Ahead: Be sure to allow extra time for your trip, as traffic can be unpredictable and cause delays.
Taxis: Taxis are widely available in Athens—you can hail one on the street or book via mobile apps. Always ensure that your taxi is equipped with a taximeter and that you pay using a POS (card) machine. Never accept a ride or make payments without these two safeguards in place.
Rental Cars: Alternatively, you can rent a car from one of the many rental companies in Athens and drive to Megara at your convenience.
Parking: If you’re driving, you’ll find plenty of parking in the town center, right next to the police station, providing added security for your vehicle.
Budget Tip:
To save time and money, you can take the metro to Agia Marina station, then grab a taxi from there to Megara. This is the nearest metro station to Megara and can significantly reduce your travel costs compared to taking a taxi from central Athens.
